Introductions to Living Groups and Group Activity

Spend 15 minutes meeting with your conference ‘Living Group’.  Attendees will be grouped together so that starting on Day 1 you will have an opportunity to meet new contacts and maximize your conference experience.

The Living Group concept was developed at Harvard University to facilitate peer interaction. The living group is a powerful concept that brings together people of extraordinary cultural and professional diversity. With a small but diverse group of peers, you can test ideas, absorb new perspectives, and build lifetime bonds.  Upon meeting the members of your Living Group we encourage each delegate to briefly introduce themselves and describe why they are attending this year’s summit along with some HIT challenges your group is facing.

In addition to meeting your Living Group, you will also take part in an interactive activity to determine the topic for a future iHT2 webinar.  All participants will receive a complimentary webinar registration so bring your best ideas!

4:00 - 5:00pm Panel “Investment Trends & Analysis”

As we move into 2011, the U.S. healthcare system continues to give reason optimism but there are still many areas of concern. Health IT continues to be a bright spot but time will tell how big of an impact stimulus funding will have on adoption and implementation rates. This panel will address how quickly health IT is coming of age in addition to investor outlook given current macro and micro industry indicators.

Topics addressed:

  1. Current and future valuation trends.
  2. Promising growth sectors within HCIT.
  3. Innovative business models.
  4. HCIT M&A activity.
