In Texas alone, 2011 and 2012 saw approximately $14 million in HIE funding with federal funds matching that amount.  As with any initiative, it is critical to evaluate the cost and qualitative benefit of the program.  Partnering with local HIEs to build capacity can maximize the impact outreach and effectiveness. It is critical that in the planning, implementation, operation, and evaluation periods, partners maintain and increase their commitments from hospitals and physicians.

This session will address:

  1. Ensuring stakeholder participation and commitment
